Notes:

The separate Dance Pavilion functions as a very large playroom for adults as well as children. There is a large fireplace (15 Ton of stone from South America), and a wood room. A large billiard table, and ping pong tables offer plenty of challenge. There are plenty of tables and chairs, and it is a great place to spend time, eat, stretch out with a book on the veranda or relax by a roaring fire in the evening.

1930's Dance Pavilion There is plenty of everything needed for entertaining a large group. The 1930's dance pavilion is adjacent to the house, and was built when the property became a hotel. Guests would travel by train, car, and horse to The Highlands -- to the dances that were held there. Two room-length balconies are perched over the plank dance floor; and a ping-pong table, basketball net, and snooker table are available for recreation. The Pavilion also has a powder room, kitchen with sink, propane stove, fridge, and a barbecue on the veranda. It is a wonderful place to eat or relax in the many comfortable chairs and couches -- enjoying the beautiful weather from the veranda or a warming fire inside.

Weddings The property is a tried and true amazing location for a wedding! We will be happy to discuss this with you, and we have an experienced wedding planner who has staged beautiful weddings on the property. July 27/06 'Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. Our wedding was more perfect than could ever be imagined… The house, the pavilion, the large lawn – all helped to make for a wonderful day. Golf Information: At the Brudenell River Resort which is about 3 miles from The Highlands there are 3 golf courses. Brudenell & Dundarave are both Championship 18 hole courses and they also have a 9 hole executive course. The renowned Links at Crowbush Cove is about 1/2 hour drive from The Highlands.
