    WINTER: Two Night Minimum from Oct. 31, 2009 - May 28, 2010; $210/night for TWO PEOPLE ($420 for two nights) + $15/night for each additional person up to 8 people. TWO PEOPLE may rent Seanook for $1200 per WEEK (+ $15/night each additional person) with a 10% discount for all groups if you rent 2 consecutive weeks.

    We also offer a SPECIAL MONTHLY RATE IN WINTER: $800/mo + utilities for 1 - 3 months; Jan, Feb, March: OR $2000/mo flat rate, ONE MONTH MINIMUM.
  • SEANOOK is rented weekly, Saturday to Saturday except in Winter. Please click the Availability Calendar icon!

    You may bring your own linens or rent ours for $50/stay for the whole house, or just $25 for two people. 7% state tax (8.5% in 2010).

    A $1000 non-refundable security deposit (or 1/2 rent, whichever is less) is required in advance per week, and is included in your total rent. After you contact us, we will email you our 2 brief contracts for you to print, sign and return with your deposit to hold your time. As damage deposit, on your arrival you must sign a credit card release form authorizing charges should we find damage, replacement, or excessive cleaning necessary after your stay. As an alternative, we will accept an additional $400 to deposit in our escrow account and issue you a check within a week of your departure.

Relaxing Romantic Getaway Seanook is a romantic getaway in any season! If you want to relax, this is the spot. You may decide to just sit and watch the play of light and wind on the water. See seagulls, osprey, and an occasional eagle soar. You'll observe a variety of ducks in winter, and perhaps a seal or a beaver in summer. Read a book or sunbathe on the upper deck. Go beach-combing to discover varied creatures that abound along the shore of the Gulf of Maine. Go kayaking if it's calm. Anglers of any age can fish right off the dock. Writers find Seanook a peaceful private retreat where they can work on their manuscripts. Day hikes in one of the many land preserves are a favorite outdoor activity. Or, you can take a picnic to Ocean Point, and watch the waves roll in from the open sea and the ships pass by. How about a romantic sail at sunset? Many boat excursions are offered in nearby Boothbay Harbor. You will also find lighthouse tours, museums, and art studios starting with Mary Ellen's nearby.

Other things to do in the area Some of the best eateries are right here in Boothbay. Walk through the woods to the East Boothbay General Store. The harbor is just three miles away, and offers many shops, boat excursions, and gourmet restaurants. Live theatre has a dramatic presence in Boothbay Harbor with events nightly at the Opera House, including Family Night on Tuesdays. Afternoon tea is a yearly tradition with some of our long time renters. Visit the aquarium in summer, where children's programs and classes enhance the quality of the coastal experience. Take a short boatride to Burnt Island where costumed guides reinact life of a lighthouse keeper's family in the late '50's. Go antiquing, or gallery hopping starting with nearby Paradise Studio. L.L.Bean and other outlets are just an hour away in Freeport. Acadia National Park is a three to four hour drive down east, with miles of scenic coastline and quaint villages to explore in between. Perhaps you would like deep sea fishing. Or just sit and relax!
