Deer Isle house Rental Property Information
'The Island View House,' as it was known in its tourist house days, promoted 'gorgeous sunsets over the Camden Hills and one of the most picturesque views in the State of Maine.' It's been completely updated while maintaining the historic charm. There's a large yard with gardens, apple trees, stone wall, and a small barn for bikes, kayaks, & canoes. It's a five minute walk to public beach. Two large decks: lower one has picnic table, grill, swing; upper deck has sweeping views across Eggmoggin Reach--a lovely place to relax with wine and cheese at sunset. After dark, the Milky Way, shooting stars, and bright planets make this a star-gazer's 'heaven.' Spacious rooms are light and airy with comfortable furniture, good beds in three bedrooms, and two full baths. A large, fully equipped kitchen with island, breakfast bar and large dining area is a great place to prepare fresh seafood. Refinished hardwood or pumpkin pine floors. Lots of extras--beach chairs, toys, videos, games.
