What do do where to go Located on the western coast of the Island which is best known for diving and snorkeling. With instructors and certification for the novice and world class diving for the experts. Since hosting the Surfing World Championships in 1968 Punta Higuero has had surfers flock to its shores. The coast has since become one of the favorite spots for professional surfers, as the waves here are the most challenging. Waves can even reach a massive 15- to 25-feet range in the winter season. This coast is also one of the best spots to catch Humpback whales and dolphins frolicking in the warm ocean waters during their annual migration visit, to the Island. Best vantage point for the frolicking whales/dolphins. El Faro Lighthouse and park in Rincon offer the best whale and dolphin watching platform.

Must see -Surrounding towns Surrounding towns worth their weight in gold: Cuevas de Camuy (Caverns) - 35 miles Rio Camuy Cave Park is the third-largest cave system in the world. Sixteen entrances have been discovered and 11 kilometers (7 miles) of passages have been mapped to date.
