Further Details for the house in Mexico
Authentic Cultural Experience If you want to experience authentic rural Mexican culture, while enjoying the comforts of modern amenities, our home offers the perfect opportunity. Our beautiful home located in this friendly fishing village is constructed in the hacienda architectural style built with the jungle and mountains behind it and the river and ocean at its' front door. Every room in the house has a terrace and a view of the water. Our Casa in the Boca is an ideal place just to relax and get away or engage in any number of the numerous activities it has to offer.
The Boca Village Boca de Tomatlan is a small fishing village ten miles south of Puerto Vallarta. There are four small grocerias, a tortia factory and several seaside restaurants with palapa (thatched roof) style eating, right on the beach. Have a meal served to you at a table on the beach with your feet in the sand. Fishing boats bring in fresh fish each day for purchase. There are boat trips that leave for various destinations further down the coast. Boca boats are also available for hire for fishing as well as snorkeling and scuba diving at such places as Los Arcos National Reserve and Calamitus. From November through March whale watching is a popular pastime as the mothers and new borns migrate south from the Baja peninsula. It's exciting to see whales and dolphin frolic in the Boca bay while relaxing on our patio. Hike the jungle path along the seaside cliff with dramatic vistas and tropical flora and fauna or take a horseback ride along waterfalls in Mismoloya (next village north).
The Area Puerto Vallarta/ Boca de Tomatlan is tropical, located on the same parallel as the Hawaiian Islands. The temperature averages 28 degrees C. 82 degrees F. with an average of 300 sunny days a year. The rainy season is from July thru October.Puerta Vallarta is a world class tourist destination with numerous activities to choose from. It is a cosmopolitan city of approximately 250,000, with five star restaurants alongside inexpensive roadside tacorias. This very walkable city offers great shopping, music, and art as well as crafts from all over Mexico. The downtown area along the beach known as the Malecon (boardwalk) features street performers, crafts and music nightly.Only a short bus ride from the Boca (approximately 10 miles & about 50 cents, buses run about every 20 minutes all day till about 11pm).
