The Getaway at Lake Placid is conveniently located 25 miles from the San Antonio Riverwalk, Sea World & Fiesta, Texas and less than 20 miles from Schlitterbahn & Gruene. Rated one of the 10 best golf courses in Texas, The Bandit is a short 10 minute drive away. A public golf course is 5 minutes away. FREE lighted tennis courts are located only 6 minutes away. Tennis lessons are also available (call for details). Great shopping is available at the San Marcos Tanger Outlet Mall- only 25 miles from The Getaway at Lake Placid. The drive to the state capital (Austin) is 50 miles and Houston is 165 miles east on I-10.

If movies are more to your liking, sit back and relax in the beautiful media room featuring a 42' flat screen TV (HD Cable) and a DVD/Video player. An assortment of videos and DVDs are provided as well as a number of board games. The two-story boat dock is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the view -- or bring your boat and jet skis for fun in the water! And for those of you who are musically inclined there is even a piano! When it's time to eat you can choose to cook on the outdoor grill/smoker - or in the fully equipped kitchen. And there is ample seating for all the guests - a small breakfast table in the kitchen, a large dining table in the dining room and a table and chairs on the patio as well as on the upper deck of the boat dock! A complimentary tour of the lake aboard our beautiful pontoon boat is included for you and your guests.

Need to get some work done? Everything you need is provided - WIFI, printer, & 2 computers in a business center located upstairs.
