For wheelchair accessibility, one would need to maneuver one step up into the house from the parking area and one step down onto the tiled terrazza. Elderly persons unable to negotiate stairs could use main floor bedrooms. The LG TV has some 'old school' video games built in. Our neighbor is Mayan and can be hired to cook for you - she prepares excellent authentic Yucatecan dishes. She doesn't drive, but as an added adventure you may accompany her to the market and see how the locals shop. In consideration of her schedule, please arrange in advance. For long-term rentals, satellite TV can be installed for an extra charge. At present there is no computer access or satellite TV, but we hope to arrange both this winter. A cellular phone is at the house for local calls.

More Photos and Area Information Everyone who has visited the house agrees it is more beautiful than the photos show, and it really is.

This is a tranquil and relaxing beachfront environment in a spacious and well-equipped house. The Gulf waters are always warm. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful, and there is an abundance to see and do - nearby ruins, great restaurants,and excellent sightseeing in colonial Merida.

It is recommended that you bring a cellphone, or one can be purchased with minutes included for $35 in Merida.
