Lubec Bay Cottage is an oceanside retreat in an area that inspires artists, artisans and naturalists. There is a separate artist's studio on this 3 acre, oceanside property with its meadow of lush grasses and wildflowers bordering 250 ft of oceanfront. A boardwalk leads to a sitting area next to the shore where there is a 180 degree ocean view of the Lubec Channel Light, Campobello Island, and West Quoddy Head. Sandy beaches are within walking distance. On the South Lubec Road to West Quoddy Head State Park and Lighthouse, the property has walking access to the Lubec Sand Bar Wildlife Management Area. The Cottage is located a short, picturesque drive to town with its restaurants and shops, and has two bedrooms, 1 and 3/4 bathrooms, a spacious living room with fireplace, a dining room, a fully-stocked kitchen with washer and dryer, and a cozy library with sleeper chair. The cottage provides the perfect setting for a quiet vacation on this undisturbed coast of Maine.

  • 2009 Rates: Apr 4 - June 19, 2009 -$700/week; June 20 to Sept 25, 2009 - $800/week; Sept 26 - Nov 20, 2009 - $700/week. Please add $50 per week for pet and/or more than 4 people.

    A $400 per week reservation/damage deposit due when placing the reservation. Deposit acts as a reservation deposit until your stay begins, then becomes a damage deposit during your stay. Deposit is refundable at the end of your stay.
  • If you must cancel your reservation and we receive notification 30 or more calendar days prior to your intended stay your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel with less than 30 calendar days notice, the deposit will be returned if we are able to re-rent it for the reserved period.

    We welcome responsible pet owners to stay in our cottage. However, the following rules must be followed:
    No pets on the furniture. We recommend that you bring along your pet's bed or crate.
    You must clean up your pet's waste. A poop-scoop has been provided for your convenience.
    Do not leave your pet alone for long periods during the day unless you brought along a crate.
    Additionally, your dog must be licensed and wearing a collar with visible identification and must be leashed when walked. Your pet must be 100% house-trained and must be treated for fleas and ticks prior to arrival.

There are numerous bed pillows so you can choose the one that's right for you.

It has an artist's studio and an ocean-side sitting area for taking in 180 degree ocean views. A short drive to downtown Lubec with its fine restaurants, shops, Library with Internet access, and Summerkeys concerts, and to state parks and nature preserves. There is a boat taxi service that will take you to Eastport where there are art galleries, shops, restaurants, whale watching cruises, puffin trips and saltwater fishing trips.
