Maalaea condo Rental Property Information

This condo has what you come to Maui for. Must See 'VIRTUAL TOUR' - Link at very bottom of site Fall asleep to the gentle sound of the surf outside your bedroom window and wake to a beautiful Maui sunrise across the bay over magnificent 10,000 foot Haleakala. Eat breakfast on your lanai while you watch whales and surfers on the bay below you. Unobstructed views ( the best in Maalaea) from every window - even the kitchen looks across swaying sugar cane fields to the West Maui Mountains. Each bedroom and the living room have fantastic views but also complete privacy (We never shut the curtains). Kitchen is totally remodeled and Brand New. (pics don't show it yet - tour does)New island style furniture including a new Beautyrest king size bed, new carpet, very comfortable leather living room set with 3 recliners, free wireless DSL, 30 inch flat screen HD TV with DVD player, side by side fridge with filtered water/ice in door, Air Conditioning, washer and dryer. 4 mile beach

You know Maui but do you know Maalaea? Maalaea is a small non touristy ocean front village with the most central location on Maui for very easy access to all that our island has to offer. It is the best 'home base' to explore Maui from then come back to relax in our heated pool, on the uncrowded beach or in the shade under our oceanfront trees while your dinner grills on the barbecue. We are on a four mile beach - the longest in the islands. Maalaea Harbor down the street is home to the Maui Ocean Center - a world class aquarium, great restaurants and shops, ocean activities such as whale watching, snorkel cruises, deep sea fishing, or sunset dinner cruises. I happen to like it here because I can surf right out in front of my condo (very rare in Hawaii). There is a world class wave known as the Maalaea Freight Train just down the beach and two very easy and fun waves exactly in front of Kanai a Nalu. People also enjoy snorkeling, beachcombing, surf fishing, or birdwatching.

  • Both bathrooms are newly painted and decorated and have new tile and vanities with tasteful island decor. Hairdryers are in the vanity drawers. A good supply of soft bath towels are also included as well as beach towels.

  • Both bedrooms have beautiful island style furniture. The front master bedroom makes a great honeymoon suite. With windows to the ocean covering most of two walls the views will take your breath away. A new king size Beautyrest mattress cushions you wonderfully as drift to sleep with the lullaby of the waves. The view at night is also spectacular with the lights of Kihei and Wailaea across the Bay. On many evenings the moon shimmers on the water like a glowing ribbon. The second bedroom has two comfortable twin beds which can be put together into a queen size bed. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom so it also makes the condo ideal for two couples or a family. One thing I particularly like about my condo as compared to most others in Kanai a Nalu, and in Maalaea for that matter, is the complete privacy of the bedrooms. No one can look in but you have fantastic views and never need to cover the window

The entire condo has been recently remodeled with special care taken in the kitchen. Our kitchen has been updated with Corian countertops, beautiful dark wood cabinets, recessed lighting, and stainless steel appliances including a side by side refrigerator with filtered water and ice in the door. Thre's a blender to turn the ice into wonder island drinks and a microwave for times when you want to save money by not going out to dinner at a restaurant but don't want to 'cook'. We just added high speed DSL with a wireless router so you can even use your laptop on the beach. I actually 'work' from here. With my cell phone and DSL I can be at the 'office' while sitting on my lanai and watching the surfers or whales (in season). The new 30 inch HD television has a built in DVD player. Oh, yes, we also have a gazillion cable stations. There are beach chairs and at least two coolers to take on your picnics or island adventure

Maalaea and Kanai a Nalu Maalaea is a small village that is the best of both worlds. We are far enough away from the traffic and 'shoulder to shoulder' tourist areas that you can truly relax and appreciate what Maui living is really about. Yet we are the most central spot on the island for easy access to all that Maui has to offer. Our Kanai-a-Nalu condo complex is a four-story, U-shaped building with a beautiful courtyard that is open to the ocean. It shelters a wonderful tile swimming pool on the ocean's edge. Parents can sit under a tree and watch their children -- both in the swimming pool and on the beach at the same time. You may decide to walk down to Maalaea Harbor to take a whale watching, snorkeling, fishing, or sunset dinner cruise. The harbor area also boasts the newly constructed Maui Ocean Center, a world-class marine aquarium considered to be the best in the Islands. It also offers several fine ocean view restaurants, interesting shops, and places to buy fixings for a quick meal 'at home'.
