Manuel Antonio villa Rental Property Information
Welcome to our Manuel Antonio home. This home features a full staff, five-bedrooms, five-baths, luxury Villa and Guest House in an unusually private and beautiful setting bordering the 50-meter Maritime Protection Zone. The Villa and Guest House are perched high above the Pacific, with ever present sea breezes and sounds of surf crashing below. Our beach (Playa la Macha), which is usually deserted, is just a 10-minute walk from the Villa. Ours is the only residence in Manuel Antonio with a cove all to itself and one of the few close enough to the water to hear the surf crashing against the rocks. The views of the ocean and sunset from the Villa are breathtaking. Wildlife and tropical flowers abound on our property and in the surrounding rain forest. Monkeys, countless birds, and an occasional sloth are regular visitors to nearby trees and are easily spotted from the Villa or from our terraces and swimming pool.

We are located in a uniquely secluded location on a cliff over the Pacific. We are 1 mile south of Quepos and 4 miles north of the Manuel Antonio National Park. Our house lies 800 meters from the main Quepos-Manuel Antonio road that is filled with restaurants, shops and hotels. But we are a world away - secluded, peaceful, and surrounded by ocean and rain forest. Just below our house is our beach -- Playa La Macha. Usually deserted with warm waves perfect for windsurfing, you can walk to the beach down a 1km dirt trail. In the bustling town of Quepos are shops, many restaurants, the sport fishing fleet, and the starting point for most tours and activities. All along the road to Manuel Antonio are hotels and restaurants of every variety and price range. At the end of the road is the large public beach, and the entrance to the national park.

| Notes: | The house is fully staffed. Our chef will prepare meals for your and our house manager will do all your shopping and errands. You just pay the actual cost of food and drink, which is a fraction of the cost of eating out. Daily cleaning, and we do all of your laundry! While this is a wonderful house for groups of friends, it is also a dream for families and for kids of all ages. Our staff will show the kids animals, exotic plants, and natural wonders. Full-time or part-time day care can be arranged for just $20/day. The living room features a 42 inch plasma TV connected to DirecTV. We are happy to arrange on-site massage and spa treatments with a local husband-wife team. They tell us that our home is their favorite place to give massages, due to the natural beauty, the sea-breezes, and the sounds of waves crashing, birds singing and monkeys chattering. We just purchased all-new gorgeous outdoor furniture. You will fall in love with this house and its staff. |

Built in 1999, the house is of the finest construction in teak, cedar, almond, and terra cotta, which are all sited in beautifully landscaped grounds. Each bedroom has a view, a king or queen bed, its own bathroom, and a writing desk. Two of the bedrooms have their own living areas, in addition to the bright and breezy main living space. Villa La Macha is located in one of Costa Rica's most beautiful coastal areas, Quepos and Manuel Antonio. An almost endless string of secluded coves and tropical beaches and the charming, well-supplied town of Quepos are minutes away. Five miles down the road is a jewel of this ecologically sensitive country, Manuel Antonio National Park. The waters offshore offer some of the best marlin and sailfish sport fishing in the world. Villa La Macha is handsomely furnished in teak furniture and original artworks and provides a beautiful home for families, small wedding parties, and groups of friends to share.
We have two small children, so we can provide anything from cribs to puzzles. We live in the house six weeks per year and continuously maintain it to our very high standards, for example repainting and re-varnishing the wood each year. We have added all the amenities you could want for a perfect vacation, including fine sheets, towels and china, our favorite spa shampoos and soaps, 42' plasma TV, two Bose Wave stereos, DirecTV, a fax, two phone lines, a library of 150 of our favorite books, and a booklet we wrote recommending for our guests our favorite restaurants, beaches, and tours. But without question the Villa's finest amenity is its staff. Jamie and Cecilia and others provide full housekeeping, concierge, maintenance, gardening and laundry services seven days a week and will cook authentic Costa Rican dishes for you every day. Fresh fish caught daily, quality meats and delicious tropical fruits are plentiful in the local markets.
Villa La Macha is our special jewel. We think it will be special for you too and invite you to read guest comments on our website. We survey all of our guests after their stay and our proud to report that the average satisfaction level from 2002-2006 is 1.2 on a scale of 1-5 (1 is 'completely satisfied' and 2 is 'very satisfied'.)
