Lake Fontana farmhouse Rental Property Information
Nestled on the border of the Nantahala National Forest, in the southern shadows of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you'll find Jimbo's Farm. This 53-acre retreat includes a 105 year-old restored farmhouse, a trout pond, and mountain streams running through the entire property. The cabin is located three miles from downtown Robbinsville's (pop. 770), with a grocery store, gas stations, restaurants, and shops. Within a short drive are many activities including white-water rafting, horseback riding, trout streams, Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest, Lake Santeetlah, the Tsali Bike Trail, Fontana Dam and Lake, and the Appalachian Trail. The farmhouse includes a master bedroom with a gas fireplace, two upstairs lofts, a bathroom, full kitchen, a living room with a pot-belly stove, a porch with rocking chairs overlooking the pond, and a beautiful mountain vista.

Local Activities. One of the finer points of Graham County is the seclusion and natural settings. But there are a wide range of activities that visitors can take advantage of: * National Forests - There are several National Forests within a short drive of Jimbo’s Farm. Take a seldom hiked trail to a crystal clear waterfall. Hike to a mountain top for a quiet picnic. A photographers paradise around every bend in the trail. * Whitewater Rafting - The nearby Nantahala River offers whitewater rafting for the entire family. The Ocoee, a few hours distant, provides a wilder ride on the 1996 Olympic whitewater course for the more adventurous. * Horseback Riding - Make your reservation at the Lonesome Dove Stables for a guided tour of the mountains on horse back. * Road Tours - Drive the Cherohala Skyway for some of the most scenic views in the entire Appalachians. For those seeking more excitement, try the Tail of the Dragon with 318 curves in 11 miles

Further Details for the farmhouse in North Carolina Mountains, North Carolina, USA
The cabin also includes an extra bathroom with shower, a washer and dryer, sleeper couch, and a twin bed available in the out-building. The spring-fed water supply is absolutely wonderful. Amenities include a satellite dish, TV, a 5.1 surround-sound system, and a phone. Springtime arrives in early March when the old growth trees begin to green, and daffodils start to bloom. By summer dogwood, laurel, wild azaleas, and rhododendron are in full glory. Gentle summer temperatures rarely reach 80 degrees Fahrenheit, while nights drop into the high 50's. The fall colors in this rural setting make for the most spectacular viewing.
