Waterfront Kayak, swim, snorkel and fish from the back yard. Enjoy a full 180-degree view of the water and the soaring Ko'olau Mountains that frame the bay. Kayak out to Coconut Island where the t.v. show, Gilligan's Island was filmed. The water around the shoreline is only knee to waist deep. You can see the ocean floor and the sea life in the bay. Enjoy early morning sunrises and spectacular sunsets over the mountains. Every month, you can see the full moon setting over the mountains in the early hours of the morning. The photos you see were taken from the home's lanais and from the back yard of the house.

Beaches The country's best beach, the 3-mile long Kailua Beach on the same street as the house is just a 7 minute drive. Provided for your enjoyment without additional cost are beach towels, toys, chairs, coolers, umbrellas, shoes and boogie boards. Kailua Beach is a great beach for swimmers of all ages and for kayaking, wind surfing, kite surfing and walking. Enjoy early morning sunrises while walking or the occasional full moon rising over the horizon in the evening. Just 20 min. by car is yet another 3-mile long white sand beach, Waimanalo Beach. Like Kailua Beach, it is wonderful for all types of activities.

Tranquility Awaken to the cooing of doves and the rustle of wind in the coconut palms. Relax on the lanai and enjoy the serenity that nature provides. Located near 3 major 'highways' makes it just a 20-25 minute drive to the airport, Honolulu, Waikiki and Pearl Harbor. When you tire of the hustle of traveling around the island, you can come home to the tranquility of the Fern on the bay.
