County Cork house Rental Property Information

Stretching south and west from Cork City is one of the truly beautiful coastlines in Europe with protected harbours, sandy coves, picturesque isles, and a series of peaceful villages tucked between hills and coast. Castletownshend is the prettiest! The village slopes down a steep hill to the castle and village pier; peace and quiet is guaranteed as there is no through traffic. Landfall, built around 1785 and recently restored, is in the village with splendid views of the harbour and the hills across the water. The ground floor living/dining area has oak beams and a stone fireplace. There is a fully-equipped kitchen leading to the patio, which is pleasant for outside dining and further views of the village and harbour. The middle floor has a master bedroom with en suite bathroom and a second bathroom with an American shower. The top floor has a second bedroom, also with stunning harbour views, and a third bedroom with views over adjacent gardens. Landfall is carpeted throughout.

Golf Information: Golf: welcoming Skibbereen Golf Club is 15 minutes away. Green fees are very reasonable and there are competitions very often through the spring, summer and autumn. You'll find the club members friendly and warm. The couse offers a fair number of challenges and the 'new 9' is hilly indeed. There are four other challenging courses within a 40 minute drive.
