Mount Shasta house Rental Property Information

Feel the mountain air and magic of Mount Shasta. Beautiful scenery, hiking, lakes, snow skiing, sledding, fishing~especially fly fishing on the upper Sacramento. It's a short hike to Mossbrae Falls in Dunsmuir. The kids love Lake Siskiyou and Castle Lake for swimming and paddle boats. The Getaway is in walking distance to the grocery store/deli, restaurants, a coffee house, lounges and a bit longer walk (less than a mile) to downtown for local shopping. The fenced backyard is great for barbecues and relaxing in the summer. The cozy fireplace tops off a wonderful day of skiing at the resort, or a romantic weekend. The Getaway is situated in central Mt. Shasta. Winter activities are centered on snow skiing, boarding and sledding. At night there is some festive nightlife for those returning from the slopes at the various restaurants around town. Most of the restaurants are within a mile of the Getaway. In the summer, there are frequent art, beer, music and other festivals in and around Mt. Shasta. People are drawn to the area for its beauty, the lakes and swimming and camping, golf, hiking, biking, and spiritual retreats. Mt. Shasta is a safe, small town environment that has something for everybody.

The Getaway has a large, well-stocked kitchen which is great for entertaining. We try to keep staples such as coffee on hand but occasionally run out. Chris and Dena's Deli and grocery is less than a half a block from the front door. We try to honor all special requests, so please ask our property manager for whatever you may want or need. Enjoy!

Golf Information: Mount Shasta Resort boasts and 18 hole course that is set in the beautiful mountainous setting with stunning views of Mount Shasta. Many private events, such as weddings, parties and family reunions are held there with Mount Shasta as the back drop for the day's festivities. If you are more casual about your game, you may want to try the 9 hole course at McCloud Golf course.
