Enjoy sunrise and sunset views, starlit skies from the rock ledge, and the tree frog chorus from the porch rockers. Take time to cook dinner on the outdoor grill, light a fire in the stone fireplace, or relax in the front porch swing, or lounge in the hot tub. The house is 15 minutes from Black Mountain and Montreat and a 30 minute drive to Asheville, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Fishing, golf, tennis and canoeing are all nearby. Time your Smoky Mountain visit to coincide with one of the many local festivals, including Belle Chere in Asheville in the summer, the summer Sourwood Festival in Black Mountain, the fall Leaf Festival at Camp Rockmont in Black Mountain, and other year-round special events all over the area.
