Casa Tropical Tankah is a romantic, beach front villa with a one bedroom rental unit. Located on a private one-half acre with 82 feet of ocean frontage in Tankah, Mexico. We are a one-hour 30 min. drive south of the Cancun airport, and three miles north of the famous Tulum ruins. Great views, a barrier reef just offshore, and a cenote up the beach for scuba diving, snorkeling, or swimming. Our villa's great location is within driving distance of many places of interest including Playa del Carmen (you can take the boat to Cozumel from there), Xel-ha, Tulum, the Coba ruins, and the Sian Ka'an Reserve -- just south of the Tulum ruins. The town of Tulum has a supermarket, restaurants, money exchanges, bus station, bank w/ATM, phone/e-mail services, grocery stores, a pharmacy, and a doctor's office.

Description Just about anything you would need during your vacation can be found here. Each unit is tiled throughout, and offers a bedroom/living area, PM air conditioning for your sleeping comfort, a fully-equipped kitchen, tiled baths, ceiling fans, and Haitian artwork throughout. Hammocks, lounge chairs, books, and a radio/CD/cassette player are provided. Unit sleeps two adults. Our first-floor unit has a palapa-roofed porch furnished with plants and a table and chairs for dining alfresco, a private hammock palapa for two, and a stained-glass window. There is a great view of the ocean and gardens. Our villa was designed with privacy in mind.

Each unit has its own private entrance on opposite sides of our villa, its own outside shower for rinsing (besides the fully tiled inside bathroom), and a hammock palapa (first-floor unit) and large roof top patio for 2nd fl.unit. There are also lounge chairs on the beach. Our one-half-acre property is landscaped with plenty of places to sit in the sun or shade, and with plenty of privacy. Twice-weekly maid-service is provided, along with trash removal and off-street parking. We have the grounds and beach maintained by our gardener. Nearby activities include dive shops in Akumal and Tulum (where you can arrange ocean and cenote dives), fishing, boating, windsurfing, hiking, horseback riding, golfing, and touring the archaeological sites of Xel-Ha, Xcaret, and Tres Rios. Explore the tropical paradise known as the Sian Ka'an Biosphere, a 1.3-million acre reserve. This wonderful reserve begins just south of the Tulum ruins.
