Further Details for the house in Big Bear, Lake Arrowhead and Inland Empire, California, USA
Three Big Acres of Wooded Privacy Hundreds of tall pines, oaks and cedars surround this serene setting. Other than a couple of distant neighbors barely visible through the trees, there's nothing but forest and mountains as far as you can see. Our south acreage extends through big boulders and lots of trees to the national forest. Beyond is miles and miles of pristine wilderness and great hiking with two of the best trails just minutes out the front door. The west side borders on a one acre wooded lot with nothing but trees. The north side is another one acre wooded lot with great bolders between us and the street that is too far away to see - this is the view from the big kitchen window, the master bedroom and the 70 foot long side deck. Our east acreage provides a tranquil forest view from the Great Room and the decks and has great slopes for winter sledding - right out the front door. Look up at Tahquitz Mountain through the trees and there is Lily Rock, an Idyllwild landmark.
Strolling The Grounds The home site is a level 3/4 acre - just a few steps walk in/walk out and you are strolling the grounds. Trees canopy the terraced garden and fruit trees and the picnic grove that is bordered by a rock wall and big boulders - squirrels, chipmunks and birds also picnic there at their feeders and liven your view from the Great Room and the front deck. There is a large fenced back yard with fully stocked log racks and the private entrance to the guest house. Lots of parking plus the two-car gaage and a two-car carport. Over one hundred feet of deck wrap around the front and side providing lots of relaxing and entertaining areas with endless views.
First Class Remodel Extensively remodeled in 2008 with only the best - designer furniture, accessories and fixtures, top-end kitchen appliances and cabinetry with rollout shelves and self-closing drawers, built-in subzero, Pioneer Elite, Sony, Yamaha and Bose AV equipment, automatic lighting, and the big mountain fireplace all exemplify the luxurious accommodations for our guests.
Other Activities Idyllwild is a tourist village with many activities, great restaurants and entertainment.
