Captiva Island house Rental Property Information

Located on popular Wightman Lane, in the village area of Captiva, 'Rick's Retreat' is a ground level home originally built by Bette Davis and just steps to the beach! Freshly painted inside and out, this home is tastefully decorated in island and tropical decor. Exceptionally bright with all white-tiled floors--simple and clean with all modern amenities and all new appliances. 'Ricks' is not one of these palatial beach palaces with elevators, theaters, etc. More on the order of a deluxe cottage in a tropical setting, the way Captiva used to be! Included are 4 TVs, stereo, VCR, DVD, all linens, beach chairs, towels, kid toys, games, etc. Enjoy the sunny front deck with outside shower (showering under the stars at night is a real treat), or enjoy the private rear screened porch. Fully equipped kitchen, inside laundry, outside gas grill, three bedrooms plus enclosed den, all surrounded by lush vegetation and privacy and a short walk down a palm-shaded sandy lane to the beach.

Rick's Retreat's prime village location lets one enjoy as many or as few amenities as one desires! Park your car; you will not need it! The most beautiful beach is at one end of the lane, with excellent restaurants at the other end; what more could one want!

Some guest comments: 'My family and I had such a fantastic time in Captiva...Words cannot describe the beach there. I cried when it was time to come home. We had the best weather, great food and wonderful home to come back to at night. Thank you so much. We hope to get back down again...' and from another guest:'I just wanted to let you know what a great time my family had at your house. My husband and I both grew up in Florida and over the years have watched some of our favorite places disappear. So it was a real treat to be able to take our kids some place that reminded us of when we were little.
