This lovely and unique petite home is conveniently located on a gently sloping hillside nestled between Wailea Resort and Kihei Town. Guests will immediately notice the sweeping ocean views which include a panorama of off-shore islands facing west towards golden and scarlet sunsets. The interior of Bird of Paradise Cottage has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an open kitchen with center island and a comfortable living area. Just outside the front door is an ocean and sunset view patio with lounging furniture, outdoor dining, a BBQ grill, and an outdoor shower. Inside, the decor is an attractive blend of bamboo pieces mixed with contemporary and tropical 'Tommy Bahama' furnishings.

This lovely and unique petite home is conveniently located on a gently sloping hillside nestled between Wailea Resort and Kihei Town. You are literally minutes from the Wailea Resort area. This resort area is home to beautiful white sandy beaches, world class golf courses and excellent shopping and dining at the resort hotels. The Shops at Wailea is located in the resort area and is a multi-level indoor/outdoor plaza offering fine shops such as Chanel, Coach, Tiffany, Gap and Banana Republic, as well as lots of places to find souvenirs and gifts. The shops are home to several art galleries and dining experiences range from aÊ take-out deli to Cheeseburger In Paradise, Tommy Bahama, Longhi's, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Joe's Bar and Grill and Capische. The town of Kihei is just 5 minutes the other direction and also offers shopping, an open air farmers markets, Gyms, Movie Theatre, outdoor in-line skate park, restaurants such as Roy's, Cafe O Lei, Sansei and local style cafes.

A new home is under construction on an adjacent property. Some disruption may be audible from time to time. Cottage is in a quiet residential area and is provided only for quiet residential residential accommodations only. Guests are welcome to use the pool and spa located above the Bird of Paradise Cottage in the front yard of the owner's home nightly until 10pm. The property owner`s are very kind gracious hosts and the shared pool arrangement. The owners are usually away from the property during the work week so vacationing visitors usually enjoy some privacy. There may be mild slight audible muffled road noise in the master bedroom or living room from time to time.

Bird of Paradise Additional Amenities Other luxurious appointments include central air conditioning, new 32' flat screen HDMI TV and HDMI DVD with HD digital cable, Bose sound system in the Living Room; as well as and iPod Dock, and Telescope, high speed and wireless internet, and a large library of DVD and games in stock. Additional amenities include the superior linens and plush bathrobes. The fully equipped and well stocked kitchen even provides an espresso machine and fax/copier. The master bedroom has a four-poster canopied bed in a natural bamboo finish, ceiling fan, flat panel wall mounted TV, and direct access to the outdoor patio. The second bedroom has a garden view, television with DVD and VCR, and also with a small private patio.

Outdoor Amenities On the ocean side, an outdoor patio is complete with chaise lounge chairs and seating for four for outdoor dining in a perfect location to enjoy world famous sunsets with a cold beverage or a 'grill your own' BBQ dinner. An exciting feature of Bird of Paradise is that guests are welcome to use the 40 foot, solar-heated swimming pool and hot tub spa which are located above the cottage and in front of the owner's home. The owners are gracious and welcoming hosts and guests can expect some privacy as they are usually away working during weekdays. The swimming pool has a diving board, and the outdoor kitchen that includes Jenn-Air gas grill with dual-side burner, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, two sinks, ice-maker, shower room and covered dining.
