Wonderful place for a fall vacation, Thanksgiving, Christmas or Kennebunkport's incredible Christmas Prelude weekends in early Dec. Also, booking now for Summer, 2009. Christmas prelude: 12/4-12/7 and 12/12-12/14 A Kennebunkport tradition--from the opening champagne reception to Santa's arrival in Cape Porpoise, Christmas Prelude is a fabulous time to visit 'the port'. The town is beautifully decorated with traditional Christmas greens and there are concerts, candlelight caroling, a Christmas tree lighting, and historic walks through town. This is a wonderful time to enjoy Kennebunkport's finest restaurants and get your Christmas shopping done in Dock Square and at the craft fairs. And when it snows, it is a postcard perfect way to begin the Christmas season. Prelude is scheduled for the first 2 weekends in December.
