This spacious, six bedroom/three bath, three story chalet is the perfect getaway for both winter and summer. It's located in Tahoe City, one quarter mile from the backside of Alpine Meadows Ski Area at the Sherwood Lift, so you can walk there and ski home. When the snow melts, the surroundings become a playground to hike, bike, and fish. Tennis lovers can enjoy the homeowner tennis courts; while golf lovers can enjoy the multitude of golf courses within a ten-mile radius. Beaches and picnic areas are within biking distance to the house. The activities in the Tahoe Basin are endless. Located on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, the home is just three miles from the lake and restaurants, and it's close to Chambers Landing and Meeks Bay with their great beaches and amenities. Surrounded by forest, the house is chalet-style with an open floor plan that can accommodate up to 15.

The 22-foot cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows offer a great opportunity to enjoy the spectacular views. The main hallway has Mexican tile flooring that continues up the stairs. The downstairs has three good size bedrooms with plush carpeting;. One room has both a queen and a single bed. The other two rooms each have a queen bed and a sliding glass door that opens to a deck. From the deck, in the wintertime, you can watch skiers short-cut home from Alpine Meadows through the front yard. In the summertime, you can watch squirrels climb the trees. While on the deck, you can also enjoy a seven-person hot tub. After the hot tub, head to the sauna. The sauna holds six adults, and takes just 15 minutes to heat. Next to the sauna is a changing area and with a 'Finnish' touch. Cool off in the shower room with four shower heads and a glass atrium that looks out into the forest. The changing area is also connected to a full bathroom.

The second level has 22-foot cathedral ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize the exceptional view of Twin Peaks. Two sliding glass doors exit out to a sunny wrap-around deck which has two barbecues and patio furniture for warmer months. The recently remodeled kitchen overlooks the living and dining area. The kitchen is separated by a granite countertop, and is equipped with all the necessities for cooking and entertaining. The living area has overstuffed furniture that faces a large stone fireplace, and an entertainment center with TV, VCR and stereo. The dining area has a large table with cushions, pillows, and benches. From all areas in the main area, you can watch TV, enjoy the fireplace, or socialize with the rest of your group. Off the living area is another full bath attached to a bedroom with a queen bed. Next to that room is the master bedroom with a king sleigh bed and a half-bath off a changing area.

Indirect lighting and views of the forest make this room a bonus. Up the stairs from the living area is an enclosed loft with a pool table and two twin beds. Play pool during the day, and use the room for sleeping at night. There is also a TV/VCR and a stereo/CD to add to your enjoyment. The house comes with all the amenities of home. All the bedding and linens are custom or designer-made. There are three TVs, two VCRs, two stereos with CD players, a washer, dryer, and linens and towels. All you will need to bring is a good book to read, and a few friends or family members to have fun with. The last couple of years have been spent renovating and upgrading the house to make it comfortable and attractive. The decorations and details have been carefully chosen in hopes that you'll find this house a special vacation getaway.

Skiing Information: This home is walking distance to Alpine Meadows by the Sherwood Lift. You'll have access to a private parking lot right at the lift. Summer time you have access to private tennis courts, and a multitude of hiking and biking trails.

Golf Information: There are numerous golf courses located within 20 minutes to the house
