The town of Dennis runs from the ocean to bay and offers numerous and some of the best beaches on the Cape. The south side beaches include warm waters and relatively calm surf due to Nantucket Sound. The north side bay beaches offer shallow tidal waters. Scargo Lake is also available for swimming and fresh water fishing. Stripers and Blues can be caught right off of the jetties on the south side and in the tidal rivers of the bay side. There are numerous marinas, restaurants, golf courses, shops, cinemas, bike trails, supermarkets close by. Antiquing, fishing, biking, go carts, trampolines, mini-golfing, museums, whale watching & seal cruises, etc., are all within minutes of the house.
