Galveston, Texas is a historical gem on the Texas Gulf Coast. The Strand District offers boutique shopping and quaint restaurants along side the Port Of Galveston and cruise ship terminal. There are beautifully restored mansions that survived the 1900 Hurricane bordering downtown. Along the Seawall there are plenty of restaurants and nightlife. Moody Gardens and the adjoining water park are a great way to spend the day. There is also horseback riding along the beach.
