Malaekahana house Rental Property Information

This home is only 5 years old on 1/2 acre lot on the North shore of Oahu and a wonderful retreat. The cool breezes from the ocean, the soft sound of the breaking surf, and the beauty of the bay are only a few of the things that make this a spectacular vacation site for you and your family. Nearby is Polynesian Cultural Center ( 5 minutes drive), the best surf spots in Hawaii are within a 15 minute drive( Waimea, Sunset), Turtle Bay Resort is a short distance with 2 championship golf courses designed by Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio. Waimea Falls Recreation activities are nearby. Malaekahana bay is approximately 3 miles of white sandy shore, great swimming year round and surf on either side of the bay. Wake up early each morning to find shells that washed ashore. Tide pools at low tides. A large lanai faces the ocean to relax and watch the fantastic sunsets and a large grassy yard with another lanai where you can barbeque and watch the kids play.

This beach is a gem for its peaceful and uncrowded setting. Great for the kids to swim and play in sand, perhaps catch a glimpse of the turtles that frequent the bay or the windsurfers on occasion. There is no better place to unwind and kick back or to simply bask in the beauty of it all. Haleiwa is about a 15 minute drive and the boutique shops and old time look is a huge draw for tourists from Honolulu. The Dole Pineapple Center is about 20 minutes away where there is a famous maze made of hedges, fresh sweet pineapple, gardens and a gift shop full of wonderful souvenirs of the islands.

Peaceful Retreat You will find this white sandy beach the perfect place to enjoy with your family. There is something for everyone. Kids will love the beach. Couples will love the relaxing atmosphere. Try Angels in Laie Shopping Center for the BEST shaved ice around! There is a grocery store, a Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, Laundromat, Chinese food, and a hardware store. Students of the BYU Hawaii campus perform daily and nightly at the award winning shows at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The evening luau is a must! . Waimea Falls and Show are also a great adventure for all. The lush forest as you make your way to the falls is beautiful and right across the street is the world famous surfing spot, Waimea Bay! So much to do or do nothing at all.

Hawaii at it's Best The sunrises and sunsets are magnificent.The colors of the ocean are glorious. This is where the kamaaina families (old timers) have come to vacation for generations. The turtles (honu) are regulars in front of the house because of the reef. Low tides you can explore the tide pools. Endangered shearwater birds nest seasonally along the shoreline and sometimes near fthe property and on Goat Island.

Turtle Bay Resort is 5 minutes away with 2 championship golf courses and hosts the SeoulBroadcastingSystem(SBS) LPGA Season opener each year. Enter the Pro Am and have your own place to return to after your day of golf with a lady pro! Turtle Bay Resort also hosts a Champion Tour event each year. Follow your favorite Champion golfer on the course. Kahuku (9 holes) Golf Course is within minutes and nestled among old plantation cottages.
