Fishing and Swimming Cathance lake is located in eastern Washington County, Maine. This lake is rated as the third cleanest lake in Maine. Fishing includes nice landlocked salmon, native brook trout, and smallmouth bass. The camp is located about 4 feet from the water's edge, so you can get up in the morning and go for a nice refreshing swim. It's better than a cup of coffee. A pedal boat is on site if you enjoy looking at the beautiful Maine landscape while getting some good exercise. Or just relax by the open camp fire and listen to the soulful sound of the loons
