Very relaxing and affordable summer vacation spot! This large, circa 1900, pet friendly family retreat is located only 65 miles from Washington, DC and 70 miles from Richmond, VA. This one-time boarding house has 7 bedrooms (one is used as a den) and 4 full baths (one with a clawfoot tub). Large, open kitchen with island seating and dining table. Family room with TV, satellite and DVD player. The house is about 100 yards from a sand beach and swimming on the Potomac River. Large screened porch in the front and large open deck in the rear. Huge yard with play area for kids. House is fully equipped with a full kitchen, linens, washer/dryer and a kid's playroom. No smoking allowed.
