McLean is a wonderful location close to everything. Located between Dulles International and National Airports with easy access to the metro which will take you to everything DC has to offer. It's located near national parks, Great Falls, the museums, and just a couple of miles will take you over Chain Bridge into Washington DC. Marymount College and American University are just 10 mins away. A quick drive down Georgetown Pike will lead right pass Arlington Cemetery, JFK's Memorial, The pentagon, and many beautiful bridge's located in the Nations Capitol. Crossing over into DC the Memorials, the museums, Kennedy Center, The White House are within a mile of the Theodore Bridge. The Baltimore Aquarium and the Shenandoah Mountains are both within an hour's drive of Washington DC. From the museums, concerts and theatre - DC has it all!

  • Master Bathroom is a large bathroom with plenty of room for two. Double sink with black granite. Custom tile job with rug effect on floor. Tile surrounds jacuzzi and separate shower. Very spa like overlooking the private backyard. The jacuzzi is very, very relaxing with jets to relax all your muscles. Approximately 7 x 13' 2nd Full bath is a large bathroom with room to spread out. This bathroom has plenty of room to share with a original claw foot tub and stand up shower. Antique dresser has been converted into a sink and it runs the length of the bathroom approximately 7 x 13'. There is plenty of space to spread out and still enjoy a great soak in the claw foot tub! 1/2 Bath is located downstairs just off family room. Really great half bath located just off the family room with corner toilet and antique cabinet with sink to fit.

  • Master Bedroom is large and has wonderful bathroom with jacuzzi tub and separate shower. King Size 4 Poster Bed. Closet with two doors that open to plenty of space for hanging clothing and a few suitcases. Very Comfortable! Room is painted in venetian plaster with fan above the bed. Bedroom overlooks charming backyard and is wonderful for soaking in the tub in the evening with a glass of wine and candles. 2nd Bedroom has a queen size bed with medium closet. Big Windows with lots of light. Ceiling fan above the bed. Shares the full bath down the hall with a separate tub and shower.. plenty of room to share! Room is in vanilla with white trim and hardwood floors throughout. Very relaxing for just taking it easy and sleeping in on vacation. 3rd Bedroom has a full bed with medium closet. Big Window with lots of light! Very comfortable room. Right across the hall from the full bath with a claw foot tub! Recently painted in pale blue - its a very calming room!

It's a wonderful house with really nice details inside such as venetian plaster in Master Bedroom and bath. Two fireplaces. Hardwood floors throughout home. Master bedroom and bath remodeled recently. It's a very comfortable home with a nice indoor and outdoor space to sit and drink a cup of tea or coffee in the morning. The morning sun is wonderful to enjoy and cook a big breakfast while watching the birds. The porch off the kitchen is next to a pergola that is draped in wisteria. We had the best blooms this year ever! For the girls we have plenty of salons to get your hair and nails taken care of as well as a gym within walking distance where the massages are very, very relaxing. There are also local historical places close by such as Turkey Run. Within 2.5 miles of the house, it was a real working farm and you can see turkeys on the property as well as cows. It's a wonderful place just to go for a walk or to see what history in Mclean would have been like years ago.

Free Things to Do The Museums - Smithsonian, Air & Space Museum, Natural History Museum (my favorite with the Hope Diamond!), Arboretum, National Gallery of Art, and much more. These are all located right off the mall in Wash DC and there is parking around the museums and metro is available there as well. Great Falls National Park. ($5 /car) - Whooo! You will not believe the water falls here. Go to the Maryland side to cross over a bridge and get closer - The water falls are just phenomenal - words can not describe how pretty it is out there. The C&O canal is here and you can generally see one of the boats that used to be pulled by Mules. I also have a book I leave at the property telling about all the sites in DC to see on a walking tour staring at the Washington Monument, taking you through the Vietnam Memorial and WW2 Memorial.

Shopping For those of you that love to shop, Tyson's (10 mins away) has lots to offer! Macy's, Versace, Lord & Taylor, Gap, Bath & Body, Borders books, I could go on and on! The are two malls within 10 mins of the house. Tyson's and the Galleria. Great places to shop, dine, catch a movie or just people watch. South of here about 25 miles is Potomac Mills - Great Discount Shopping located just off of 95 in the Woodbridge area. All of the big stores have discount stores here! West of here is the Leesburg outlets with Crate & Barrel, Williams Sonoma, The Smithsonian Store and many, many more.

Corporate Travelers We are close to McLean, Tyson's, Falls Church, Vienna, Arlington, Ballston, Crystal City, and the Pentagon all located in VA. We are also close to Bethsda, Rockville, Chevy Chase, and Potomac, Maryland. We are also close to Washington DC! The house is within 2.5 miles of the closest metro stop W. Falls Church where anyone can ride strait downtown or jump on the metro to anywhere in the metropolitan area. We are directly across the street from a bus stop that will take you directly to the Rosslyn, VA metro stop. The house has wireless Internet access so getting your mail will not be difficult! Cell service works well in McLean. We have Verizon now, but have also had AT&T and Sprint. All have had good service here.
