Mill Valley studio Rental Property Information

Cute furnished studio in-law apartment, 20 minute drive north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge, in the town of Mill Valley, Marin County. One double bed, plus one double futon in sitting area, kitchen with stove, microwave, and half-size refrigerator, bathroom with tub/shower, private entrance, 2 decks. Digital cable, VHS/DVD, wireless Internet, parking provided. Supermarket, drugstore, laundromat and Starbucks are a 5 minute drive away. Apartment is located in Tamalpais Valley, near intersection of Marin Drive and Spring Drive. A 45 minute drive takes you to wine country in Sonoma or Napa, or to the Point Reyes National Seashore. Although we are very close to the city, there is no convenient public transportation - a car is necessary to get into San Francisco, as well as to downtown Mill Valley, and around Marin County to the beaches/hiking, etc. There are ferries to SF leaving from Sausalito and Larkspur, but you will want to have a car in order to get to the ferry.

Enjoy the best of both worlds - easy driving access to San Francisco sight-seeing, and to beautiful Marin scenery and wildlife. 15 minutes to magnificent Mount Tamalpais and its many trails and views, or to the Marin Headlands. 20 minutes to the Muir Woods National Monument old growth redwood forest, and to beautiful Muir Beach. 5 minute drive to Golden Gate National Recreation Area hiking trails, including Tennessee Valley Road trail, where an easy 1 3/4 mile hike takes you to the beach. Mountain biking nearby, guided bike tours can be arranged upon request. Kayaking tours of the bay available in Sausalito. 8 to 10 minute drive to downtown Mill Valley or to Sausalito - explore stores in charming downtown Mill Valley, or walk by the bay on the Sausalito marina. In addition to shopping, these towns have great restaurants of all kinds, live music venues, movies, theater.
