Located between the charming villages of Northport and Omena on Michigan’s beautiful Leelanau Peninsula, this spacious and beautifully appointed upscale beach house is situated directly on the shores of Grand Traverse Bay, with over 150 feet of private sandy beach. With five bedrooms and four baths, the home sleeps from 14 to 18 people, and is perfect for a large and/or extended family, or several smaller families. The beach house opens onto a beautiful wide sandy beach, complete with a dock, boat hoist and swimming ladder. The sandy cove invites long strolls in search of Petoskey stones and other treasures. This elegant and expansive home offers stunning views of the bay from the dining room, living room and master suite. The home has brand new or newly finished maple floors throughout, newly tiled baths, fresh paint and brand new furnishings. The living room has a stone fireplace with a barn beam mantle. and plenty of seating. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances and everything you will need to cook for and serve a crowd. The dining room comfortably seats ten, and there is additional seating for four at a smaller table in the adjacent living room. Two patios just off the living and dining rooms, one with a retractable awning, provide additional living space for lakeside relaxation and dining. There is also a den with a television for unwinding from the days' activities. The house is equipped with direct TV, a DVD library, Internet access, and books and games for all ages.

Five large bedrooms are cheerfully decorated and will accommodate several families without crowding. The master bedroom, decorated in colors reflecting the lake and shore, has expansive views of the bay, a separate sitting area, and a private entrance from the patio. Both the master bedroom and the second downstairs bedroom have queen beds and their own baths, one with a clawfoot tub. Upstairs there are three bedrooms. One with one queen and another with a queen plus a twin daybed with a pull-out trundle bed, share a full bath. The third upstairs bedroom is a large 'kids' suite' with two twins, a twin daybed and trundle, a crib. and plenty of room to play. Additional guests can be accommodated in sofa beds in the den (full) and living room (queen).

The wide sandy and very private beach is just steps from the back lawn (perfect for yard games), and has a dock, boat hoist and swimming ladder. The bay cove, which has calmer waters than the 'big lake', is ideal for kayaking, canoing and of course swimming. The entire cove provides a large expanse of walkable sandy beach. We provide 2 kayaks (one of which is a tandem), croquet, horseshoes, beach volleyball, beach toys, and beach chairs so that you can fully enjoy the beautiful outdoors.

Skiing Information: Our home is just over an hour from some of the best skiing in Northern Michigan.
