Be among the first to stay in the Dancin' Bear Log Cabin! Doors open May 15, 2008. This traditional log cabin is perched upon 13 acres of lovely mountainside property. You will want to spend hours just hiking and exploring this tranquil wooded property. Across the street is a huge U.S. Forestry Service Tract for unlimited adventure. This traditional log cabin was built with hand hewn timbers; which were saw cut only for window and door openings. You have to see this log cabin in person to fully appreciate the old world craftsmanship. The traditional construction includes a stone stacked fireplace and hardwood floors throughout the cabin; updated with a wall mounted LG Flat Screen Television displaying 150 stations and many other modern conveniences. This is truly a 19th Century style Log Cabin; updated with 21st Century technology. We have put a lot of time, thought and energy into making this log cabin the ideal destination for a memorable vacation in the Smokies!

This beautiful log cabin is centrally located in the Smoky Mountains between Asheville (50 minutes) to the East, The Cherokee Indian Reservation (30 minutes) to the North, Tennessee (50 minutes) to the West and Georgia (20 minutes) to the South. You can do everything or do nothing and enjoy either one! But, be careful, if you come once; you will want to come back every year! Indeed, you are likely to end up moving here. Nearby: Gem Mining, Harrah's Casino, Appalachian Trail, Standing Indian National Park, U.S. Forestry Service Property, Smoky Mountains National Park, Civil War Monuments, Cherokee Indian Reservation, Fun Factory, Dollywood, Smoky Mountain Railroad, Blue Ridge Parkway.

Hiking & Sightseeing One of the best reasons to stay at our property is the natural beauty. Our own 13 acres runs up the side of a mountain to the ridge. Across the street is a huge United States Forestry Service tract and its entry road. Ten minutes away is Standing Indian National Park. Thirty minutes away is the Appalachian Trail. Forty Five minutes away is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Forty five minutes away is Lake Chatuge or Fontana Lake.

Casino Detail Our property is located about 45 minutes away from the Harrah's Casino on the Cherokee Indian Reservation. This beautiful Casino has become a regional landmark. Many shows, restaurants and games are available.

Golf Information: Our property is located less than one mile away from a nice 18 hole golf course; Mill Creek Golf & Country Club. This 18 hole, par 72 course was private until last year. You will enjoy the beautiful scenery and rolling fairways of this mountain golf course!
