If you're bored with the same getaways over and over, why not try something 'old'? Take a trip 'back in time'. Come to History's Window where you will feel like a kid again visiting Grandma. Stay in a home that was first built in 1893, restored and added onto in 2007. This wonderful home is furnished with its original contents, blended with modern amenities. There are two full size bedrooms on the main level. Each bedroom is furnished with the owners original antiques dating back to the 1940s & 50s. The master bedroom has it's own electric fire place with the original hand carved mantel. The old meets the new with it's private spacious bathroom with jacuzzi tub and stand up shower. The second bedroom has a gas fire place and it's own private access to the side deck. The kitchen has all the modern conveniences to prepare that gourmet meal. If you enjoy fishing, you might like to try your luck in our pond stocked with catfish, blue gill, and large-mouth bass.

Classic Cars for Rent To add to your old fashioned vacation, you might want to rent one of our classic cars! Available are a 4-speed convertible 1965 Dodge Dart, an automatic convertible 1965 Dodge Dart, and an automatic 1949 Dodge Street rod. You might also want to consider a chauffeured drive to dinner or other social event. Call for details of pricing. Rates for hourly, 1/2 day, full day.

Things to do at History's Window If you enjoy fishing, you might like to try your luck in our pond stocked with catfish, blue gill, and large-mouth bass. No need to bring your fishing poles cause we will provide those for you! Some folks enjoy fly fishing from our river banks. You may even pick your own vegetables from our garden to make salads or a great side dish for dinner. If you're not in the mood to cook, you can go just around the bend to the Riverside General Store and Cafe where you can enjoy dining, rent canoes, kayaks, or bicycles. The Todd General Store is just a short drive up the river. After a fun-filled day, try out our wine chiller, (it only takes a few minutes) and take your wine with a glass out on the front porch and listen to the music of peep frogs and the New River flowing by.
