Nestled in the picturesque Victorian cottage community of Butternut Bay, this 2 bedroom, 1 bath vacation home offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the beautiful St. Lawrence River. A spacious community dock with diving tower and swimming raft is perfect for family fun. There is dockage for a boat up to 22 ft. The cottage is close to many local attractions such as boat tours of the world famous 1000 Islands, golf, fishing, waterfront restaurants, artisan studios, antique shops, casino , live theatre, bird watching, Upper Canada Village, 25mile bike path, antique boat museum, Parliament buildings in Ottawa just over an hour away.

One of the last remaining communities of its kind in the Thousand Islands, Butternut Bay boasts a spectacular collection of century-old gingerbread-style summer homes. Ships from the Great Lakes and some European countries can be seen from the community cruising in the International Shipping Channel. The boating among the islands is spectacular where one can observe the beauty of the islands, the castles, century old mansions, lighthouses, hidden channels, etc. Fishing, scuba diving, sailing, and other watersports can also be enjoyed on the river.

The Cottage Nestled in the quaint Victorian cottage community of Butternut Bay, this 2 bedroom, 1 bath vacation home offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the beautiful St. Lawrence River. A spacious community dock with diving tower and swimming raft is perfect for family fun.

Cottage Layout and Equipment The cottage is on two floors, with a large, main floor open-concept kitchen/dining room, spacious living room, den, four-piece bath and a master bedroom. Upstairs a comfortable loft with three beds adds to the uniqueness of this bright and cheery cottage. Appliances and equipment in the cottage include a dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, gas BBQ, cable TV and a DVD player. A blue box is provided and garbage is collected from a community dumpster on a regular basis. The water is drinkable and the cottage operates on a holding tank system. Although we supply pillows, blankets and duvets, guests are expected to provide their own linens and towels. Parking available at the side of the cottage for two cars. A boat slip is included in the rental price and can accommodate boats up to 22’ long.
