Also has stunning light and great windows with southern exposure. Dining Room located right off kitchen for easy access and features beautiful custom wood table and chairs with comfy seating. Separate Laundry Room on lower level has complete washer and dryer and space for sorting and folding clothes.

And to provide inspiration during the Summer and early Autumn months, feel free to pick from the extensive vegetable garden on the property (which we maintain for you)... pick succulent tomatoes, crisp snap-peas, sleek black eggplants, and much more, and use them in fresh recipes that very night. A gorgeous dining room serves as a perfect stage to show off your culinary creations.

Sailing and Swimming Darien is right on the Connecticut coast, so if you've ever wanted to spend the summer on the Long Island Sound, this is a stunning place... just a few moments to the beach and a fully-lifeguard private beach awaits, as well as idyllic sailing on the glistening Sound makes this a stunning area.

Antiques and the Village, plus Manhattan! Darien is also a quaint New England village, but with Manhattan sensibilities.... gourmet food, full supermarkets, cheese shops, wine boutiques, and high-end designer boutiques are all literally within walking distance. Plus if you'd like to actually go to Manhattan, the Metro North station is only a two minute walk away--- and you're in Penn Station in the heart of Manhattan in only 30 minutes, with No Car!

Guest Book Wow! This has gotta be the best place to stay to combine NYC and a leafy hideaway on one vacation. We spent the morning swimming at the Darien beaches and took in a Broadway show at night... hard to beat. -- Dr. and Mrs. Walter Czensky, Pittsburgh, PA Clean, private, beaches that were never crowded. And I couldn't believe what the garden had for us -- I've never had better veggies and the experience of eating things like a tomato when they were still warm from the sun was very very special.
