  • This property is has been recently refurnished entirely, so it is fresh and crisp and relaxing for those looking for quality and comfort during their vacation. The lovely furniture has an eclectic look, using a combination of antique and sophisticated with comfort as a high priority. The couches in the living room are a sea green, accompanied by a swivel chair so that one can easily chat to those on the couches and with barely any effort 'swivel' 180 degrees to take in the beautiful view. High cathedral ceilings and and open floor plan are part of this unique seaside home. A number of Adirondack chairs are near the volley ball and firepit areas for relaxing a taking in the waterview. The beds all have down comforters with duvets to take the edge off the chill on those cooler summer nights. The master bedroom with windows opening up to the water has recently been painted a peaceful green with an iron head/ foot board to give this room a lovely sense of simple sophistication.

Details about the home and the setting This home with its beautiful sunsets, its picturesque view from the deck and the bounty of windows overlooking Casco Bay will delight you. The private acre and a half provides an open yard with a volleyball net, a horseshoe arena, an open pit for campfires while lounging on chairs overlooking the tidal shore of So Freeport harbor. Canoeing is available right from the shore of this waterfront home (canoe and life vests provided) as well as great exploring for clams and mussels at low tide. Bike riding is safe on the dead end road with plenty of backroads to explore for those with more experience. Within minutes from this coastal property, lighthouses, whale watches, local festivals and lobster opportunities are abundant . A welcome packet provided at the home will help guide you know what is available, for those who want to do more than watch osprey and eagles soaring over the oceanic vista from a lounge chair.

Other adventures/entertainment to consider For those willing to drive a distance, there are many options to consider. Reid State Park with Popham Beach nearby is within 45 minutes... it is one of Maine's highlights for beach lovers. Boothbay Harbor is 1 hour away, and for those who need more outlets than what Freeport offers, North Conway is within 1 1/2 hours. Famous Bar Harbor is 2 1/2 hours north, and Boston is 2 hours south. For history buffs, there is the Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain House and the Robt Peary Museum located 20 minutes north in Brunswick. For those committed to antiquing, you have come to the right place! Performances at the Maine State Musical Theatre (arrange for those tickets in advance because they sell out quickly!) will round out the vacation of those looking for a more cultural experience. And don't miss the Old Port in Portland which offers exquisite food and opportunity to stroll on cobblestone streets and through the working waterfront, with a view of the ferries to/from the islands.
