Further Details for the house in New York City, New York, USA
Our goal.... is to provide visitors to NYC an opportunity to see NY, and Brooklyn in particular through the eyes of a local resident. Live, eat and shop in a neighborhood, with real people; sit down to a Sunday breakfast of bagels and cream cheese while you peruse the NY Times and plan your day. Or take advantage of a champagne brunch a few blocks away. If it's Saturday, step across the street to the weekly green market where Upstate and New Jersey farmers sell their produce of fruits and vegetables, meats and fish, herbs and spices, honey, preserves, baked goods, plants and flowers, or take the free tram which shuttles riders around the park between the zoo, playgrounds, the band shell, or to the Brooklyn Children's Museum. Flatbush Avenue diners serve up breakfast and lunch in the tradition of immigrants from Greece and Eastern Europe or have a Parisian style breakfast of coffee and pastry on the avenues.
It's all in the details.... From the fresh cut flowers and bottled water to the 800-1000 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding, spa quality towels, robes, and slippers in each room, we attempt to give visitors a truly first class experience at a fraction of the cost of even our local hotels, and in a location second to none in the city for it's old world charms and amenities. This is a very unique bed and breakfast experience and one that we are sure seasoned travelers will appreciate. Why pay $600 a night for a room in Manhattan, or $400 a night in downtown Brooklyn when you can have more luxury, elegance and space in a very European setting. Breakfast for B&B guests (not for weekly home rental) includes a variety of cold cereal, toasted bagels and breads, warm pastries, fresh seasonal fruit, DIY fresh juice, bottled juices, coffee, espresso drinks, teas. On Sundays we serve a NY-style bagels and lox brunch and mimosas.
Customer feedback: 'Thank you so much for your generosity and the use of your beautiful home. It certainly brought grace and elegance to our pre-wedding festivities. Your hospitality was dearly appreciated, and will never be forgotten.' -- C&D, Brooklyn 'Fantastic place to stay! Don is a wonderful host. Will definitely stay here again.' - J&E, Maryland 'Thank you for making our first anniversary so special.' - W&S, Brooklyn 'My friends were the first guests to stay at At Home In Brooklyn--a fabulous new B&B in Park Slope. They had a great time, and loved the breakfast. Totally renovated and very clean. Great proprietor as well. Very reasonable.' - Posting on Park Slope Parents blog
