Huntington cottage Rental Property Information

The Cottage at Norwich Lake is available for rent from May 15th - October 15th each year. Built in the 1920s and restored in 2007, the cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, living room with a sleeper sofa, and bathroom on the first floor. There are two bedrooms on second floor, one with a king size bed and the other with two twin beds. The open wrap around porch is a wonderful gathering spot, and has a separate screened sleeping area with two twin cots. The cottage sits on a one acre lot atop a small hill facing west toward the Berkshire Mountains. It takes ten-fifteen minutes to walk to the lake along a pleasant dirt road. We have a cottage on the lake with a dock that you may use at any time. The fishing is great and we have a canoe, kayak and water trampoline that you may also use at any time. We have parking available for those who would rather drive to the lake.

Norwich Lake is located in the town of Huntington, in Western Massachusetts. It is located 30 minutes from Northampton, Massachusetts (culture, arts, colleges, fine dining) and 45 minutes from the Berkshires (Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow). Mountain biking, hiking, creek walking, and other outdoor exploration activities abound.

Norwich Lake Norwich Lake is large enough to allow motorboats, but never feels crowded. If you look at the lake on Google Earth, we are located on the Northwest side. Camp Norwich, a YMCA day camp, occupies the North end of the lake and owns much of the land along the Northeast side. It is largely undeveloped. Weekends at the lake are busier than weekdays. Early mornings are beautiful. Many people that live at the lake commute to jobs in the surrounding communities. There are only a few rentals on the lake. If you want to get away from the lake for dinner, a movie, spa services, or to see live shows, Northampton is 15 miles away and Tanglewood is less than an hour.
