Maggie Valley cabin Rental Property Information

Ponderosa is ultimate relaxation. Log cabin 4900 ft. on 1.25 acres. Covered Back deck with 6 rocking chairs and hot tub. No houses are visible on back deck, only woods, wonderful long range and valley views. Both bird feeder and hummingbird feeder on back porch. Numerous hummingbirds in area, Also with second uncovered porch in front with 4 chairs. Can view few houses only from driveway area. Ponderosa has recent extensive DVD movie selection. AIR Hockey and Foosball available, take a 20 minutes hike to Smoky Mountains, roast marshmallows at the Firepit. Firepit down a path w/ benches. Once at the Ponderosa, you are away from civilization with total peacefulness. The temperature at the Ponderosa averages a minimum 10 degrees cooler than the valley. Open the windows for fresh air, but if needed gas heat or AC available. Wireless internet is available on porches and throughout house for those that like to surf the internet and be with nature at same time.

Numerous dirt roads around property for hiking, can hike to Heintooga Road in the Smoky Mountain(20 minute steep hike), Pick blackberries in July, campfire site down a path from house with benches, (Activities in Maggie Valley), Ghost Town in the Sky, Bluegrass shows, Wheels Through Time Museum, Carolina Nights Show, Numerous Golf Courses, Go-Karts, Trout Fishing, Horseback Riding (Activities Nearby), 10 minutes to Blue Ridge parkway milepost 452, 8 near Heintooga Road leading to Smoky Mountain National Park, Cataloochee Valley in Smoky Mountain National Park to see the elk, 40 minutes to Biltmore Estate, Hiking in Pisgah or Smoky Mountain National Park, Sliding Rock/Waterfalls in Pisgah National Forest, Cherokee Indian Reservation & Harrah's Casino, Whitewater Rafting, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, Santa's Land, River tubing, Gem mining, fishing in Cherokee.

I drove my Camry ( front wheel drive) for first 4 years we owned home. But now with 4 wheel drive for snow/ ice.

GAME Include: Air Hockey Table,Foosball table. Fireplace w/buck stove insert, Covered back deck w/ Hot Tub, 6 rocking chairs w/ great view both long range and valley view. While sitting on deck no houses are visible. Only woods and views. Front Porch is uncovered with 4 chairs, few houses visible from driveway area only . CD and tape Player, Large recent DVD movie selection for your viewing, A Campfire pit area is down path with benches. The firepit feels like you are camping out with woods. In summer time cannot see the Ponderosa from firepit. Central gas heating, Ceiling Fans, Air Conditioning, Paved driveway, Nice yard for roaming 1.25 acres. Lots of dirt roads surrounding property. Can hike to Heintooga Road in the Smoky Mountain National Park. Road is a hard surface dirt/gravel with steep access for 0.5 mile. Total length of road is 1.3 mile. Would recommend all wheel drive for inclement weather, but I have used my Camry many times over the years.
