St James Plantation St. James Plantation is a gated community and this villa has a quiet, central location within the plantation. It is a beautiful, comfortable place to relax. The plantation is well known for four championship golf courses designed by Nicklaus, Hale Irwin, Pete Dye and Tim Cate.
Southport, North Carolina Southport is just minutes away and is a quaint, historic fishing village known for its annual Independence Day Festival, King Mackerel fishing tournament, antique and boutique shops, and great seafood. Charter Fishing trips and charter power boats as well as sailboats are available in Southport. Rent a kayak for a day and explore the nearby marsh channels. Visit the historic Bald Head Island lighthouse while touring this quaint, secluded island by golf cart or bicycle - a great day trip. Both Wilmington (30 minutes) and Myrtle Beach (one hour) are easily reached by car.
