Dallas house Rental Property Information

Come and enjoy country hospitality, home cooked meals and the many outdoor activities we offer. We are only 45 minutes south of Dallas, in southern Ellis County on Hwy 879. The Grasshopper Ranch is the perfect place for family, friends or business associates to gather, relax and enjoy. The lodge is a two story ranch house dating back to the days of cheesecloth wallpaper and true lumber. The house has been updated with modern appliances and amenities for your comfort. Our property has a laundry room, large kitchen, game room and wrap-around deck. Our ranch offers a unique opportunity for family hikes, horseback trails and fun in the outdoors. You will feel a world away from the busy city without the drive. The Grasshopper Ranch is a working ranch with cattle, Blackbuck antelope, Scimitar horned oryx and Rocky Mountain elk. We are primarily a bird hunting venue, and do not offer big game hunts.

The Grasshopper Ranch is located between Ennis and Waxahachie on 879. The Grasshopper Ranch is minutes away from Ennis, home of the Bluebonnet Trails,and the Polka Festival. We are also located just east of the Texas Motorplex and minutes away from Bardwell, where the Country Thunder Music Festival is held. Waxahachie, home of the Gingerbread Trails, many other fantastic events is just 15 minutes from our Ranch!
