Montezuma cottage Rental Property Information

One of the cutest cottages in Costa Rica is available for rent. With stunning panoramic ocean views, and located right next to world-famous Montezuma Falls, this small designer home will fulfill all your fantasies of what living in the tropics will be. The waterfall is a 6-minute walk from the house, and you can hear it at night. The ocean is close enough to see the whales when they're in the area. The house's open design lets in lots of light, and with its huge deck has a feeling of lots of space despite its small size (1000ft2). Many of our guests have commented that the house is beyond their expectations. Expect to see monkeys, iguanas, agoutis, parrots, and coatis almost daily. The house is within a 20 minute walk of the town of Montezuma with its famous international cuisine, beaches, and art scene, but we recommend renting a car unless you're in great shape, because its a 400-ft vertical climb back up the hill. Approximately 75% of our guests have a car.

The house is located in Montezuma, just a two minute drive from town. Montezuma is known for its idyllic beaches, breathtaking beauty, international cuisine, exotic and abundant wildlife, friendly people, and colorful culture. Montezuma also has several surf spots, although the nearby towns (25 min drive) of Malpais and Santa Teresa have more consistent waves. Many of our clients drive to these two beach towns for surfing. Montezuma also hosts several festivals every year, including an international film festival, an art festival (Chunches del Mar), and a permaculture/green building gathering.
