All new luxury vacation lake view home, atop Ft. Mountain approx one hour north of Atlanta, and one hour south of Chattanooga. Easy access from I-75 or I-575. Hot tub on back screen deck with lake view, terrace level and main level gas log fireplaces, new slate pool table, dish network. Relax on the back deck in the hot tub, cook a steak on the stainless steel grill. Dine indoors or out. Wrap up in our plush comforters by the fire place and watch a movie or read a good book. Enjoy hiking, mountain or cross county biking, horse back riding, ATVing (bring your own) kayaking & rafting thru local outfitters. Dining either buffet or order fine dining from the menu across the way at Cohutta Mountain Lodge, bring your favorite wine. Rent a pontoon or ski boat at Carters Lake Marina. 3 miles from Ft. Mountain State Park lifeguard protected swimming beach, and wildlife viewing. Antiquing in nearby Ellijay and Blue Ridge, relax and enjoy what we refer to as 'mountain time living'. Enjoy!

Ft. Mountain lake view cabin is halfway between Ellijay and Chatsworth Georgia, right off of State Road 52. 3 miles from Ft. Mountain State Park, where you can swim and sun on the man made beach, we are across the way from Cohutta Mountain Lodge and Restaurant and horseback riding. 30 minutes from Carters Lake and Marina. This area is well known as the path on the Tour De Georgia, and for mountain biking, fantastic ATV trails, fishing, and hiking. Historic Ellijay has many quaint shops and restaurants, as well as many contemporary shops, super markets and outfitters for rafting and kayaking. The fall foliage is the most remarkable anywhere, as well as the numerous overlooks with long range mountain views.

Mountain Life Mountain life is all about relaxation: you sleep soundly, you may wake up later. You may want to adapt your schedule to doing just a few things in the day. Wrap up and sit by the fire, soak in the mountain air and ambiance while you soak in the hot tub over looking our lake. Drive or bike the area and stop at the numerous long range scenic overlooks. Hike one of many well marked hiking trails, or walk over to the stables and go for a trail ride. Unwind, relax, & recharge. Unsurpassed fall foliage mid October thru late November.

Adventure For the adventurous, visit the outfitter on the historic square in Ellijay, and get rentals and info on white water rafting, kayaking, and mountain bike adventures. Bring your ATV, easy directions provided in our guide book for some of the best ATVing any where, as close as 5 minutes away. Well marked hiking trails in Ft. Mountain State Park, across the way at Tatum Lead, or Lake Conasagua State Park. Jet ski, ski boat, or pontoon boat rentals at Carters Lake 30 mins away.

Fishing Area trout and fresh water fishing, some of the best anywhere.
