The channel is approximately a mile long and is aptly named. Make your holiday visit complete by exploring the beautiful sand beaches in the area, particularly Bayswater and Queensland. Make your way along the coast to picture perfect Peggy's Cove. The town of Chester, just outside Deep Cove is a must see with colorful sailboats coming and going in the harbour. More about Location The Anchorage is located on Nova Scotia's beautiful Aspotogan Peninsula on the Lighthouse Route, Highway #329. The Aspotogan Peninsula, also known as the Blandford Peninsula, is a peninsula in the eastern part of Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, which juts from the South Shore into the Atlantic Ocean. To the east of the peninsula is St. Margaret's Bay while to the west is Chester, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg. The coast of the peninsula is dotted with a number of small fishing and tourist-related communities; Hubbards in the northeast being the largest. Other communities on the peninsula are Northeast Cove, Aspotogan, Bayswater, Blandford, Deep Cove, and East River. Highway 329 circles the peninsula along the coast while Highway 3 and Highway 103 pass to the north. The historic harbour city of Halifax is located less than an hour from Deep Cove. Titanic buffs will enjoy the Museum of the Atlantic on the Halifax waterfront.
