Notes:

We have beach towels, beach toys, tricycle, stairs gate, bedside rail for children, a window seat in the street side bedroom suitable for a child to sleep (6 ft. long), also a window seat in the living room(also 6 ft. long), a small couch in the dining room, an air mattress to use wherever needed. Both bedrooms are upstairs, so a person who has problems with stairs may need to sleep downstairs, but that is possible. Smoking is permitted on the property. We prefer it to be done outdoors since we have lots of outdoor areas where it can be done. We have a washing machine and clothes dryer that guests can use for a stay of 2 weeks or more.

Travel Instructions When making travel arrangements to visit Casa Tranquila you will need to make flight reservations from your local airport to arrive in Mexico at the Cancun Airport. There are direct flights from many major cities.Cancun International Airport is 16 kilometers (9 miles) southwest of the heart of Cancun City, 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the southernmost point of the hotel zone. Follow the crowd down the escalator to the immigration area where you will present your Tourist Card and Passport or Birth Certificate. Remember to put your Tourist Card in a safe place; you will need it to leave the country. You will first pass through Immigration, where your passport or other entry documents are examined. You then collect your luggage and pass through Customs. In Customs you will be asked to press a button connected to a little traffic light that will determine whether your bags are searched; green light, and you just walk through, or red light and your bags are inspected.

Ferry Instructions GO TO PUERTO JUAREZ or GRAN PUERTO to catch a ferry. If you're flying into Cancun, you've got a few choices on how you get to the ferries. The airport shuttle that I would recommend is Best Day. Go to their website and make ROUNDTRIP reservations with a credit card before you leave home. Give at least a 48 hour notice. Their website is: www.bestday.com. They are very reliable and reasonably priced ($17 USD per person ROUNDTRIP!). Their vans are air conditioned and you don't have to ride through the hotel district to drop off others. A cab is another option, but costs $56USD.

Shoestring Travelers If you're feeling adventurous or just want the cheapest means to get to Isla, you can take the buses. When you leave the terminal go directly to your right and follow the sidewalk along the departures section until you come to the end. There you'll find the very comfortable and air conditioned buses run by ADO. The cost is next to nothing, but you have to walk a ways to get there. This bus will drop you at the bus station in downtown Cancun. From there you can take a taxi (for much less) to the dock or can walk out and wait for another bus heading to Puerto Juarez. Another option is to take the public taxis located outside the airport property.
