Set amid Aspen's towering peaks, Aspen Highlands is at the center of a winter wonderland that is perfect for skiing, snowboarding and après-ski socializing before a roaring fireplace. Low humidity and intense sunshine are characteristics of its high-altitude location, and daytime highs are generally around 35 degrees – pleasantly comfortable for a wide selection of outdoor activities. Lift tickets One lift ticket can be used at Aspen, Highlands, Buttermilk and Snowmass mountains. You may purchase your tickets at the ticket offices at each of the mountains or we would be happy to pre-purchase them as well. The following describes the four different mountains. Cross Country Skiing Enjoy groomed track skiing through beautiful meadows and valleys. Instruction and rentals are located at the Aspen Cross Country Center, the Snowmass Lodge and Club and the Ashcroft Ski Touring area.

Skiing Information: Highlands Deemed the 'local's mountain,' snowboarders as well as skiers can enjoy steep runs, spectacular views and long groomed runs at Aspen Highlands. Aspen or 'Ajax' Mountain Now open to skiers AND snowboarders. It features comfortable blue runs and challenging black runs. There is no beginner terrain at all. Buttermilk Buttermilk is Aspen's finest learning mountain for all levels. From 'never-evers' to emerging experts. Most of Buttermilk is groomed every night. Snowmass Aspen's largest mountain featuring over 2,000 acres of beginning, intermediate and advanced terrain. Fast lifts and very long groomed runs make Snowmass a great place for the entire family.
