The stately Main House, built in 1902 by Charles Thompson, still maintains original furniture, china, and hunting “trophies” from the days when he and Ernest Hemingway would reminisce about their safari adventures in Africa. The french doors of each room in the Pool House open to a large heated lagoon pool, extravagant waterfall and a Brazilian wood deck. Both homes have expansive, wrap-around porches, which offer luxurious outdoor living. The lush tropical gardens give a sense that you are on your own private island and walking the paths throughout the property, you will find a wide variety of palms, orchids, banana plants and hidden courtyards. This exquisite oasis is located within walking and biking distance from beaches, shopping and Old Town historic sites.
