Government Camp house Rental Property Information

The Mountain Pass Chalet is a large warm and inviting 2600 sq ft home located on the quiet southern side of Government Camp, Or on Mt. Hood. We are a short 3 min. walk to the Ski Bowl East Lodge or to the core area of Government Camp where you will find grocery markets, restaurants, recreational shops, and of course that all important coffee shop. Located within a 15-20 min drive is the Historic Timberline Lodge and the Mt. Hood Meadows ski resorts. Our large chalet has up to 4 spacious bedrooms (1 king in the master bedroom, 1 full with two twins in the upper bedroom, 1 queen in the main floor bedroom, 1 full, 1 full with a twin bunk above in the optional lower floor suite bedroom), 3 baths, a large kitchen area with jenn-air range and eating bar, a dining room with table and chairs to seat 8, a game room with Foosball table and a large hot tub. We have off street parking with availability for 2-4 cars. Great times and memories will be made when staying at the Mountain Pass Chalet.

  • Oregon State and Clackamas County Room Tax Rate of 7%
  • One nights room deposit is required at time of booking. Full payment is due within 90 days of arrival. We also require a security deposit which is refundable if no damage is found. Cancellations made before 90 days of check-in will receive back all but $200.00. Cancellations made under 90 days prior to check-in will receive no refund. We require a 2 night min. stay at non-holiday times and a 3 night min for Thanksgiving and a 4 night min for the Christmas Break holiday. *Holiday Rates: Thanksgiving is $495 per night not including the 4th bdrm lower suite. Please add an additional $95 per night if including this space. Christmas thru New Years is $795 per night and includes the 4th bdrm lower suite. Martin Luther King / Presidents Day are $495 per night not including the 4th bdrm lower suite. Please add an additional $95 per night if including this space. Both require 3 night minimum.
  • You can rent the entire Mountain Pass Chalet which includes the 4th bedroom lower suite or we can lock off the the 4th bedroom lower suite if you have no need for that much space. The entire home will accommodate up to 19 and if you choose to lock off the 4th bedroom space the home will accommodate up to 14. Nightly rates will reflect your choice. (The 4th bedroom lower suite includes the 3rd. bath, a kitchenette with microwave and mini refrigerator, TV with VCR unit and will sleep up to 5 comfortably).

We are located in a quiet gated community at the 4,000 ft snow zone elevation of Mt Hood. The chalet is less than a 3 min walk to Government Camp Village with restaurants, bars, and stores. We are a 3 min. walk to Ski Bowls East Lodge that is the largest night skiing area in North America, snow tubing hills, and an activity park. Snowshoeing and cross country skiing are both available right out of our chalet door into undeveloped land, some of which is on the old Oregon Trail. We are within minutes of many hiking and mountain biking trails, fishing, swimming, rafting, sight seeing. Let our chalet be your home base to all that Mt Hood and Government Camp have to offer no matter what the season.
