Further Details for the house in Northeastern Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, USA
Over all comments of guests As of May 10th, we just decided to invite inquiries for our home to guests who can make it like their 'home away from home.' People who take pride in ownership only invited to inquire and apply. Our friends, family and guests tell us that this is one of the nicest properties in the Endless Mountains. It became operational once again after the worst floods in recorded history and under fresh residential sharing family management in 2008. Since the 1950's when it was first built by Mr. Seaman it always has been a property where 'the labor of love sentiment ' shined through everything that was done here. In 1967, it became a family cottage able to sleep 30 people comfortably and often did. This went on until 2003, when an extreme makeover on the property was unplanned and non intentional. The result was, however a structure where the newest 'green earth approaches' and sustainable technology became the practice that will continue well into the future.
How We Live is A Choice in How to be Healthy Ask if you care to, for yourself and your family how to have a vacation experience unique to anywhere else in the continental United States that offers to teach others how to create a sustainable future in harmony with nature and a 'planet in peril.' We will show you how, no matter where you live, to be organic, and how to recycle 100% and generate 'no garbage.' We also let you discover, on your own how to attain the optimal balance, and physical state, practicing the principles that were taught to us by people notable and widely respected in Health Centers around the globe. For starters, we take you on a journey on the water, the purest 1.5 miles lake and the 1 mile stream that feeds it, in order to learn how to navigate this stretch of water that is equal in width to the Three Gorges Damn, built in China over the last 30 years. After your short distance drive from Scranton, PA or Binghamton, New York.
Learning A New Habit Kayaking in remote land areas without disturbing natural habitat in the least, and without inviting them to disrupt us on our journey which is the focus and fun of the two hour journey up to the north end of the lake. One trip is all you will need from our experienced Kayak and Water Skiing Instructor.
Skiing Information: Ski at Elk Mountain in the Winter. Ski on our boats on the water in the summer. We must drive you for insurance reasons as our guests and because it is a private lake and no boats from the outside are permitted. This insures wide open ski channels, absolutely no overcrowded waters, leaves the fishermen and sailors to have their day in the sun and provides most importantly for you and your family, safety. Most of all, the lake remains quiet for swimming enjoyment and for people enjoying the outdoors. Sorry Jet Skiers, we can send you elsewhere not that far away.
Golf Information: You just will not find better golf courses within a half an hour drive as the home of a PGA Championship was located in at one Course for more than 30 years. Other great golf courses sprung up all around it and still do, just to compete. Fees are among the lowest in the country and especially the world, while the golf is right up there. For the fisherman, the fishing in this lake is the best. Annual fish reports available from avid sportsman. For the kids, Binghamton is The Carousel Capitol of the World is in the same area the former PGA Course. South of the border from there, past the lakehouse exit, the shopping in the Pennsylvania Factory stores is here while you also find the single shop owners specializing in things at great prices from the USA and around the world.
Guest Book 'We enjoyed our stay more than anywhere else in years.' Rick and Lindy Riegal and children, Jessie and NIck
