Gated off street parking is provided and all entrances and windows are protected by custom designed and crafted wrought iron gates. The recently expanded patio includes a spa pool with water jets and a water spout, a wet bar, wall mounted flat screen tv, outdoor shower and half bath. A fully equipped fitness center is around the corner from Villa Cabomar. You will be amazed at the reasonable rates ($20 a month in August 2008) which includes use of all equipment - treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bicycles, free weights - and a complete schedule of classes including aerobics, weight training, etc. And best of all, you can use any of the affiliated fitness centers around Costa Rica at no extra charge.

Easy access to world famous beaches Some of Costa Rica's most spectacular beaches are within easy reach of Villa Cabomar. Ferries to beaches in the southern region of the Nicoya Peninsula - Montezuma, Mal Pais, Tambor - and to beaches in the northern region of the peninsula - Samara, Nicoya, Nosara - leave from the docks one half mile from Villa Cabomar. The ferry is a scenic, relaxing alternative to the long, overland drive on rough roads to these stunning beaches. Arrive at Villa Cabomar in the afternoon following your flight to Costa Rica. Enjoy a stroll on Paseo de los Turistas to experience the amazing sunset over the mountains on the Nicoya Peninsula. Linger over a dinner of Costa Rican seafood specialties at a nearby restaurant. Spend the next day exploring Puntarenas and relaxing on its endless beach. Awake refreshed and ready for your adventure on the Nicoya Peninsula starting with the scenic ferry ride (including your car). Spend a day at Isla Tortuga accessible by luxury catamaran (lunch included).

Villa Cabomar is conveniently located Puntarenas is approximately a two hour drive from Costa Rica's Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) located in San Jose, the capital city. Most US air carriers provide frequent and convenient service to San Jose from the US. All major car rental companies are located at the airport or we can arrange transportation from the airport and car rental in Puntarenas. Puntarenas - Pacific Port The Central Pacific's largest city, Puntarenas sits on a long, narrow peninsula in the Gulf of Nicoya. For years, it was the country's principal port, and although a newer port in nearby Caldera handles cargo, Puntarenas now hosts cruise ships and a large fishing fleet anchors in the estuary behind town. Being the country’s most important fishing port, Puntarenas is the perfect place to enjoy fresh seafood (at surprisingly reasonable prices), such as camarones al ajillo (shrimp scampi), pescado entero (whole fried fish), or ceviche de mariscos (bits of fresh seafood marinated in lime juice with onions, peppers and spices). Puntarenas is a lively town on weekends, when people from San José fill its waterfront restaurants and bars. A series of open-air 'kioskos' specializing in ice cream and fresh tropical fruit drinks line the beach and is the perfect place to head for dessert or refreshment.
