Mesa Verde house Rental Property Information

Located in Mancos., CO between Telluride and Durango, this is a perfect location for Skiers looking to ski both resorts, also excellent location for hunting, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling and cross county skiing. Mancos has nice grocery store, pizza parlor and several very good restaurants. The home has views that are unbelievable with 360 degree view and the most awesome sunsets on the planet. The home has slate floors, granite and travertine and is top shelf in every category. The sauna is perfect for winter day, and the kitchen has commercial Viking appliances. This executive home is very nice and includes several TV and VCR library. We are kid and pet friendly. Located next to Echo Basin Ranch with full access to all amenities.

The home is located at Echo Basin Ranch and you have full access to the seasonal resorts amenities. Daily housekeeping and special needs including meals can be accommodated if scheduled in advance. The views from this house are awesome from the perch at 8400 feet elevation; they include Mesa Verde National Park, Sleeping Ute Mountains, Mount Hesparus and several other of the LaPlata Mountain of SW Colorado and the Rampart Hills and Weber Lake. This home was built by an Indian Guru and was used as his private yoga instruction lodge. It has very good vibes and is very peaceful and majestic. If you ski and snowmobile it does not get much better that this located between Durango Mountain and Telluride. There is a snowmobile haven a few miles from the home with access to millions of acres of prime Colorado snowmobiling. There is also excellent cross county skiing on the property which consist of 600 acres of private preserved Ponderosa pines. We have on-site staff to help you

Ski Telluride and Stay Here If you love to ski Telluride is only about one and one half hour drive and it is the most beautiful drive in Colorado through Deloris Rico and into Mountain Village. The slopes open at 10 and close at 4:00 so its perfect for sunrise and sunset drive on the million dollar highway. If you to mix it up you can also ski Durango Mountain which is about one hour and 15 minutes from the home. It perfect for either location. If you cross country we have over 600 acres of private property with fresh virgin trails.

Purple mountain Majesty The views from this property are the best. IF you ever want to see purple mountains and their majesty come and stay at this exclusive home. The views are the best in the southwestern USA. Words to not do them justice. This home has been used by many celebrities that have performed at Echo Basin Ranch including Tommy Shaw of STYX and Tanya Tucker who actually stayed on for several months. This is very beautiful special place.

Dining and Shopping The town of Mancos is 5 minutes away and has a great little general store called the P&D Grocery it has fresh fruits and veggies, hot fresh pizza and groceries to meet any of your needs. There is a nice bakery in town that serves breakfast and lunch and has awesome take home breads. There is also a nice restaurant/steakhouse call the Millwood Junction where lunch and dinner is served they also have a nice bar and bar menu (the Millwood is closed in November). The Mateh Room at Mesa Verde National Park is the only 4 star dining in the four corners and it is well worth the drive, the tours are great and the meal will be the best you can have in the area.

Skiing Information: Three Ski Resorts are nearby for winter skiing, they are: Telluride Ski Resort 970-782-6900 Durango Mountain Resort 970-385-4711 Wolf Creek Ski Resort 970-264-5639 In my opinion you cannot beat Telluride and the drive is very special and not a problem even in storms. Our Ranch chef is a ski instructor in Telluride his name is Matt Huebner and he is a great instructor. Highly recommended as a starting point at the mountain.

Guest Book This home is nice and comfortable, the views are great. We saw deer and Elk from the deck that overlooks the lake. It is truly one of the best views i have ever seen. We really liked the close proximity to Mancos. The beds are comfortable and the washer and dryer came in very handy. We will definitely come back again next year. Our kids loved the private loft and the grilling on the deck was the best, when mixed with the views of Mesa Verde National Park at sunset. We loved this place. You've got to use the sauna!
