Saltwater esCape Vacation Home is nestled in the quaint maritime fishing village of Cape St. Mary, one of 16 villages located along the St. Mary’s Bay in an area of southwestern Nova Scotia known as the French Shore. This newly appointed vacation home provides a stunning panoramic view which includes the Gulf of Maine, St. Mary’s Bay, Cape St. Mary’s Wharf and Mavillette Beach, one of the most spectacular beaches in eastern Canada. Saltwater escape Vacation Home is located in Cape St. Mary, one of numerous charming Acadian villages stretching along 60 km of scenic shoreline in southwestern Nova Scotia. These villages form the community of Clare and the region is known as the French Shore. The friendly bilingual residents are descendants of the first European settlers who came from France in the early 1600’s. They began settling in Clare in 1764 after suffering expulsion from Nova Scotia in 1755. The Acadian Flag can be seen flying proudly from homes throughout the region. Visitors will enjoy Clare’s rich blend of heritage, culture and community spirit. During the summer months many restaurants host kitchen parties featuring Acadian music, hospitality, dancing, and food. Other attractions include festivals, majestic historic churches, museums, live-theatre, parks, hiking trails, beaches, interpretive walks, eco-boat tours, rare birds, canoe tours, kayak tours, artisans, antiques and golf.
